Downingtown
East Football Team
On
September 30, 2005, the Downingtown East Football Team played a
football game versus Interboro in honor of Dylan. After
the game, in which Downingtown won 41-13, the team welcomed
Dylan down on the field and presented him with the game ball.
Their star quarterback, Pat Devlin, threw for 5 TD's and ran for
another as Dylan provided inspiration from the stands. A
special thanks to Head Coach, Mike Matta and
Athletic
Director, Jack Helm for making this dream a reality. Dylan
may never step onto the football field as an athlete, but his
presence on that night was
more powerful thank any sporting event anyone has ever attended.
